My wife bought the Millie cutting and ironing table a few weeks ago because it has a large workspace and an ironing board that will be adequate for most of her sewing needs. Additionally, it folds into a very compact unit that minimizes its footprint in her none too large sewing/art room. My first thought was "this thing will be a bearcat to assemble with all the moving parts!" I just put it together and was pleasantly surprised. It took less than 2 hours from start to finish. The engineering seemed quite clever to me which made assembly much easier than it could have been. The instructions were excellent with few words and great pictures. They took me through the process in a logical fashion which eliminated any missteps. Furthermore, All the parts were labeled and referenced in the instructions. Also, the hardware, of which there is a lot, were in labeled plastic bags which eliminated problems identifying the correct bolt for the hole. Alignment of the bolt and screw holes (pre-drilled) was excellent with no modifications required. There are many phillips head screws to install, over 50, so I highly recommend an electric screwdriver. I assembled the top, upside-down on a card table and then attached the base. This worked well and saved my 75 yr old aching back and knees from working on the floor. However, the unit is heavy when fully assembled and should be flipped over onto the floor by two people. This review only applies to assembly. My wife will have to review its use. Though, I will say it rolls around easily and the drop leaves, while fairly heavy, lift up with one hand and the support legs unsnap from their holding clips easily and swing out to support the leaves nicely. It can be rolled out from the wall, The ironing board and both leaves readied for use in less than 45 seconds. Or you can leave the leaves down and just use the ironing board. It seems quite useable to me.
